A great time was had by all at this year’s 5th Annual Patient Appreciation Party on January 26th, 2012. We welcomed over 150 friends at The Friendship Conservatory to enjoy a wonderful spread of food by Giacomo’s Ristorante Italiano, cocktails, and spirited fun. The children enjoyed taking their best guess at how many dental pieces filled two large containers, and the adults hoped to be lucky in the numerous door prize drawings that were offered, including a BriteSmile Whitening, some Oral B power toothbrushes, Crest dental home care gift packs, and Giacomo gift certificates to name a few.
The big finale was most exciting as we picked our 2011 winner of the “Apple of my i” gift card prize for all referring patients. Congrats to our BIG winner, Sue T., who was present that evening, and couldn’t have been more thrilled to win!
Thank you again to all for your loyalty to our practice and we are so happy you were able to come out and enjoy yourself for a nice evening! We already look forward to next year’s event!!

Meyer Dental Group put a new meaning into "Trick or Treating" for the third year in a row on Thursday, November 3. The 3rd annual Candy Buy Back event at the office was a huge success to not only benefit children's dental health, but also to help send care packages to our soldier's overseas!
Loads of children brought in their loads of candy "treats" in exchange for $1 per pound. The candy, along with toothbrushes and toothpaste donated by Dr. Tom, and handwritten cards and notes from the children, will be sent overseas with the help of Yellow Ribbon Support Group.
It was a WIN-WIN situation for the kids who are trying to prevent potential cavities and calories from all the sugar-filled treats, and for the soldiers who receive a special treat for themselves.
Another WIN associated with this year's event was a special opportunity to help our local community at need! Meyer Dental Group partnered up with Creative Corner Pre-school in Des Plaines to donate money to the local Des Plaines food pantry. Dr. Tom agreed to match every dollar the pre-school donated to the pantry from their trick-or-treat candy brought in. They ended up weighing in 125 pounds of candy, so a check totaling $250 was proudly donated to the Des Plaines Self Help Pantry! Read more about it in the TribLocal.
